NEET Result 2020 Declared: National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET Result 2020 today i.e. on 5th June 2020. The NEET 2020 Result was declared for nearly 14 lakh medical aspirants who appeared for the entrance exam on 13th September and 14th October 2020. The NTA which conducts the NEET Exam took less than a month’s time to complete the evaluation process and declare NEET 2020 Results. Prior to declaration of the result, the NTA also issued the NEET Final Answer Key with three key changes as against the preliminary answer keys issued earlier. NEET Result 2020 Tie Breaker
In case of two or more candidates obtain the same marks in the NEET 2019 exam, the inter-se merit/ NEET tie breaker shall be determined as follows;
- Candidate with higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the exam will be given higher preference
- If the above tie breaker does not break the tie, candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry will be preferred
- In case the tie persists, candidate will lesser number of incorrect answer in the exam will be given preference
- If the tie still persists then the final preference will be given to candidate older in age
NEET 2020 Result- What next?
- Candidates who qualify NEET 2020 can register the state counselling process conducted for admission to government and private medical and dental colleges provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria of the respective states.
- Candidates qualifying the NEET exam and not belonging to J&K state (unless filled the declaration form at the time of filling application form), s/he will need to register themselves online for the NEET 2020 counselling process with Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates who qualify the exam will be able to check the link to register for the centralised counselling process on NEET Counselling official webpage. The NEET 2020 counselling process is expected to start in the second week of June, 2020.
- In case a candidate belonging to J&K State has qualified the exam and has not opted to participate in All India Quota NEET counselling, they will need to register for the state counselling process which will be conducted by the state counselling authorities.
NEET Counselling 2020
The counselling for NEET 2020 exam will be conducted by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee. The official dates of NEET 2020 counselling have not yet been announced. Usually, the counselling of NEET is done after the NEET result is declared. The NEET 2020 counselling for state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities. It is to be noted the seat allotment process through NEET 2020 counselling will be based on the candidate's NEET rank and score.
